About Us

My name is Jim Bledsoe.  I am a lifelong resident of Kingsport, Tenn.  I graduated from East Tennessee State University in 1974 with a BS Degree in Industrial Technology. I'm retired from Eastman Chemical where I worked in the Engineering Dept. for nearly 35 years.  My wife,  Debbie , and I  live in Kingsport, TN.

Vintage Street Rodders of America was chartered in late 2009 and started taking membership in Feb 2010.  VSRA was created because we wanted to keep Street Rodding alive for the True Street Rodder, who believes that a streetrod is a Pre-49 vehicle.  VSRA is also a DRIVING ORGANIZATION which encourages  members to build, drive, and maintain their streetrods.

One of the key players of VSRA, is Dorothy Donihe, our webmaster.  She creates and maintains the website www.vsra-usa.com, and the Facebook page and sends out the monthly newsletter by email.  She is very much appreciated.

VSRA also has a team of State Rodder Reps.  They are a major help in advertising the shows by passing out flyers and cards and recruiting new members.

VSRA has an awesome staff of volunteers that help put on the shows.  From setting up, to working the gates, registration, selling merchandise and 50/50 tickets, taking pictures, and whatever else needs to be done, they are there.  All of the Reps and volunteers are again very much appreciated.  The shows can’t go on without them.
